Crossword Master is a crossword puzzle game on mobile, available on Google Play and App Store, made by Easybrain.
The game is based on classic crosswords puzzle game rules. The goal is to fill the entire grid with letters using the given definition or hints for each horizontal or vertical word. Each cell corresponds to a letter. Note that words intersect: the same letter can be part of a horizontal and a vertical word.
But the game is using an unique mechanic to find words: 5 letters from the grid are randomly chosen and the player has to place the letters to the good cells. Once he validates his guess, he earns a point for each correctly placed letter. If the player succeed to fill in all 5 letters in the series, he gets bonus points.
When the grid is finished, the player compare his score with the opposing player (a BOT) and if his score is higher than his, he can reach the next difficulty level.

As a Level Designer. My job was to:
Generate multiples grids, which were randomly created based on words from a french dictionnary
Ensure the grid respects industry requirements and conformities: 9x7 grid, inner hint cells well spaced, between 4 and 6 images hints, rebus hints...
Verify that the words are valid, non-repetitive with those from previous grids and conform for our public: no violent, discriminatory, sexual, political, religious... contents
Create original hints and definitions for each word in the grid: less than 15 characters, no repetition, easy/medium difficulty...
Use between 4 and 6 images as visual clues per grid
Verify, validate and publish content through the production tool software, update and modify grids when there is a rule modification or an error
